Mechanical Design Engineer                           Placed 14th Dec 2009

I am a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong interest in the design of special purpose machinery.

I have recently returned to New Zealand after working in the United Kingdom for the last few years. I am looking for mechanical engineering work in the Hamilton, Tauranga and Auckland areas.

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have had a large range of experience in dedicated design teams. I have developed a large range of skills after working on a very broad range of projects; from the design of delicate production handling equipment to the design of heavy-duty rock crushing machines.

Please contact WECA or myself directly for my CV with details of my experience.

I can supply details of referees on request.

Thank you.

Daniel Tutt

Mechanical Engineering Internship for 6 weeks

Placed 18th Dec 2009

Hello,
I am Paul Gehrke and I am searching for an internship in Hamilton. I am from Germany and work at the moment at the Hamilton Boys' High School.

In September 2010 I will study Economy-Engineering in Aachen, Germany. I have to do a technical internship beforehand and I would like to do it here in New Zealand.

I would like to ask you for some help to find a placement. I have some guidelines, which require me to work in the following areas.

GP1: metal cutting processes:

e.g. filing, chiselling, sawing, drilling, countersinking,

galling, manual tapping, lathe turning, plaining, milling,

sanding, lapping, broaching, honing.

GP2: metal forming processes:

e.g. hammer and die forging, extrusion, beating out,

kneading, upsetting, coining, drawing, rolling, stretch

forming, cupping, metal spinning, stamping, fine-edge

blanking, bending, levelling, riveting.

GP3: thermal joining and cutting processes:

e.g. gas welding, arc welding, resistance welding,

flame cutting, special welding and thermal cutting

techniques, brazing.

If possible I would like to practice in all these areas (but it is not mandatory).

Possible timeframes for me would be 5. July to the 15. August 2010.  My application and my CV are available from WECA or myself.  Thanks for your help.

Yours sincerely
Paul Gehrke
