Wintec – Te Pūkenga
Wintec’s Centre for Engineering and Industrial Design focuses on flexible, student-centred and project-based learning. Students get the chance to put their skills into practice by getting involved in industry projects that take place in real workplaces. The $25 million state-of-the-art engineering and trades facility opened at Wintec’s Rotokauri campus in early 2014, providing an opportunity to learn in an environment that reflects industry standards and uses the latest techniques, technologies and equipment.

ATC – Vision College
Vision College provides a wide range of educational opportunities with four campuses across New Zealand. Students can study level 1 certificates through to level 7 degrees, as well as non-qualification skill-building programmes. All programmes are NZQA approved and, where applicable, eligible for students to apply for loans and allowances.

Competenz – Te Pūkenga
Competenz is one of New Zealand’s work-based learning organisations, arranging training for apprenticeships and other on-the-job qualifications, supporting employers, job seekers and people with jobs. They partner with employers, apprentices, schools, training providers and assessors across the country.
Competenz are a business division within Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning Limited, the result of a merger of the 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics and the 9 transitional industry training organisations (TITOs).
Te Pūkenga has been set up as part of the Government’s Reform of Vocational Education. Te Pūkenga is creating a network of online, on-campus and on-job learning to give learners more flexibility in what, where and how they learn.
From 2023, all Competenz learners will be enrolled with Te Pūkenga, instead of Competenz.
